Project Budget $45 Million, 14,000-acre land development including a new environmentally and economically sustainable town of 2,500 residents at 10-year build out, main tenant to be corporate relocatee taking advantage of sophisticated telecommunications infrastructure and living in southwest Colorado. Responsibilities included spearheading a feasibility study, including researching and retaining land planners and economic/marketing consultants, researching infrastructure issues, researching alternate energy sources and environmentally sound waste water treatment techniques, and developing an economic model of project costs.

PROJECT NARRATIVE

Project Budget $25 Million, 85-room hotel, restaurant, condominium, performing arts hall, gondola arrival facility, located at the top of Coonskin Ridge within the Mountain Village PUD at the Telluride Ski Area. The hotel component was to be co-developed with the Robert Zimmer Group, Santa FE, NM. The mixed use project was to be accessed only by the new gondola transportation link between the Town of Telluride and The Mountain Village. Responsibilities included assembling of the design and construction team, participating actively in identification of key project planning issues, assisting in the development of economic feasibility models with site and building cost, and developing and providing the preliminary feasibility study.

PROJECT NARRATIVE

Project Budget $29 Million, 400-Acre golf course development with associated infrastructure to service course and 43 single family home sites, 2 town home sites and two employee housing sites. Client retained PW to review project detailed submission documents to provide detailed analyses of estimated infrastructure, site grading, golf course, and landscaping costs, potential 'deal killer' project issues, and preliminary construction document completion schedule to facilitate a June 1993 construction start. The results of this work were to be used in aiding efforts to acquire control of the project from the original development entity, Maroon Creek Development Corporation.
